"why me", "why me"

  •

One of my part time jobs is working as Instructor in a College Department. As lazy as i am, my favorite question is "WHY" to every student grilled during recitation. I guess, that habit of mine was unintentionally brought in our home, as i always asked my daughter " why" everytime she said "NO".

One time, i told her to take a bath, but she was in her" not to bothered" mood  that she crisply said "NO" . But since i don't want to tolerate her mood, i grabbed her and brought to the bed and started undressing her. But she  cried hardly, pounded her little fist to the bed and loudly asked me"WHY", "WHY". At first,i thought it was a funny sight, but i saw hatred and  unexplainable feelings to her eyes, that i literally  stopped and went out from room, away from her.

After that incident, it became familiar word for her the word "why". everytime  i opposed her idea, she would always asked 'WHY, ME" or  simply "WHY".

We may not taught her the word 'WHY" but i guess, she learned it my herself. to ask "why" when something needs to be answer.

Most of the time, i do not want to answer her questions, but i chose to answer it. as i learned that answering 'I DONT KNOW" means teaching the child to become "stupid " showing fear means teaching them to be coward and saying "im tired" means teaching them to become lazy.

Being a mother  sometimes gives us the privilege of being" knowledgeable" but i realized that " why" is the hardest question that must always be answered  and in the same way that every mother should be happy when their toodler starts asking  "WHY".

take a break at Wensha

Wensha Spa Center is, i guess one of the safest SPA Center at Pasay City. Aside from the fact that its clean and no " other business is done " here, it also offer an eat-all-you-can food, a stay of six (6) hours maximum and unique scanning device locker to ensure safety of personal belongings.

Wensha Spa Center is located at CCP, Pasay City, infront of World Trade Center.

And to avoid the "getting lost" experience, below are the simple guidelines on how to act like a "pro"--

1. Choose a package that you want to avail then pay  to the receptionist.
2. The receptionist will give you a bracelet with number  which will serve as your key for your locker.
3. Deposit your shoes or slippers to the attendant assigned, by giving your bracelet number and use the slipper placed at the floor.
4. Go to the room, if your female, it in the right side and left if its male room.
5. Once your inside you can see the attendant assigned in the body towel and bathrobes. Just get one each.
6. Look for your locker number, the same number indicated in your bracelet.
7. Place a little button of your bracelet to the small circle of your locker. Remove only when you hear a sound opening the locker.
8. After that, you can put your bags and change clothes.Close the locker by doing the same step at number7.
9. You can either take a shower at the wet floor, enjoy th jacuzzi , sauna or steamed bath.
10. When your done, you can proceed to another room, where you can see the tables and chairs and tables for shabu shabu. While eating, you can watch TV or eat ice cream etc. Everything is free and part of the package, though don't expect too much from the selections of the food.
11. Or you can go directly to the assigned massage room and sleep for hours. Then eat or enjoy the wet floor, whichever suit your mood.
12. Remember to write a certain amount of tip for the masseur. Accordingly, the share of masseur is only Php 80.00 per client, which means they need more tips.
13. When your done, return your bracelet to the receptionist, pay the amount of tip you've written and get your shoes to the attendant.

Enjoy!!

My take:

I will comeback and give higher tip, if the massage is good.

avery @Early Achievers' Learning Center-Congressional

My daughter Avery is studying at Early Achievers' Learning Center. Despite the fact that Congressional is far from Fairview and quite expensive, we chose this school because of English and Chinese languages that it offers.
And the fact that it teaches the student to become independent.
to participate in different kind of activities,
                                                               allow the child to play
                                                          and develop child's creativity.

hello fitness first!!!

I always wanted to enroll at Fitness First, but always felt intimidated of the entire area and too shy to inquire. But last sunday night, my husband and I just decided to enroll realized that nothing in Fitness first is intimidating. Here's why and how to do it--

  1. If you want to inquire, just ask the receptionist that you want to inquire regarding their package/s or price.

2 . The receptionist will call  a sales person that will answer all your queries, show the entire area and explain the exercise equipments. Just ask any kind of question, you have to remember that every sales person has a required quota to achieve and they will be very eager to assist you.

3. The sales person will offer you two kinds of package--

                   5month package                                lifestyle package/ 12 + 1 month free
Admin fees  -----  Php 4,000                                                          Php 3,000+
monthly ----------Php 3, 990                                                          Php 2,800+
Joining fee--------Php 1,500                                                           Php 1,500

and BODYFIRST-----Php 1,999                                                          Php 1999.00

4. The sales person will explain that  BODYFIRST entitles you to have a three hour session with a personal trainor and a chance to reimburse the said amount if you are able to attend at least 8 sessions per month for three consecutive months, in any branches.

  5. The sales person will offer you to avail either home , passport or platinum.Home imeans access only to a branch where you enroll,  while passport is unlimited access to all branches except RCBC, TRINOMA  and ALABANG while Platinum club is unlimited access to all branches, including the chance to use towels, exercise gear and swimming pool in RCBC, TRINOMA and ALABANG. But accordingly, if you are a passport holder, you can also visit the 3 platinum clubs provided you add Php 375.00 per visit.

 6. When availing your choice of package, try to get some discounts from your sales agent/person or try asking her to include you in a corporate account, in that case there is a possibility that you will only pay as low as Php 1,500.00 per month.

  7. The sales [person will schedule you for the personal trainor. After three hour session, the PT will make their assessment s\and provide your personalized exercise to be follow.

   8. Every branches has different way of using key locker, simply ask question and observe how they use it.

  9. Finally, you must be a credit card holder or someone will lend you a credit card to pay for your membership. Just remember that Fitness first is business, it will charge you even if you don't use their facilities and you will have a hard time in canceling your contract. As the saying goes, buyer beware, in this case member beware!
