For the love of trading..

After my life changing lost in playing  stock market  blindly last year, I decided to invest in myself by reading and spending  money in apartment business.

Honestly, I had difficulty  going back to my bookworm self. After reaching the age of adulthood, I became so obsessed in  browsing facebook and other visually appealing articles. Worst,  I stupidly played stock market without studying the basic. Yes, I was stupid! I lost hundred of thousands of hard earned money.

Early this year, I promised to diligently improve myself. I started watching videos in Youtube  while doing house chores. I listened to audio books while travelling to work, and started reading romance pocketbooks little by little, just to awaken my interest in reading.

While doing all of these, I bought  investing and self help books, word by word, page by page, I was able to understand the content, and realized my mistakes.

For now, I have invested in SMPH and MBT. My portfolio is not so much, but unlike before, I have my plan and decided to stick with it. To avoid deviating from my plan, I allocated my SMPH as the portfolio of my kids, while my target for MBT is to accumulate below p70.00, and sell while its uptrend.

DISCIPLINE is the word that I have learned so far, and hope to apply while studying the basic of investing and teaching myself to become who I want to be.

My daughter showed interest in investing, hence I hope  to teach her the way, without committing the same mistake i did.

best siopao..bad service

Im not a fan of siopao... well, until I had a taste of Henlin Siopao Asado. For the love of god of food, Henlin Siopao almost perfected the taste of traditional siopao, the taste is surprisingly not too salty ( admit it, the cheapest the food is, the worst it becomes,in all aspect), the bread is perfectly soft, and the size got it all, not too big and heavy.

Unfortunately, Henlin branch in SM the Block have the worst service I have ever experienced. The first time i tried to buy siopao, i had to wait 15 minutes( not because of the queue( geez), just one customer being served), despite the slow motion movement of their two (2) employees, I've got lucky  to have a taste of the most delicious siopao, it's heavenly!. On the second time, I waited for  more or less 10 minutes ( again, one customer being served), I ordered asado siopao and Hopia. Yay! Im just so unlucky, I was given hot siopao and frozen hopia( straight from the freezer), and to top it all, the hopia was thrown inside the brown bag, together with hot siopao.Yay!! i feel like a pig

Despite that and several attempts thereafter, the experience never changed, except going to worst, and then I gave up   Better hungry than pissed off, and there and then i made a vow, -- never buy HenLin Siopao at SM the block.

I see baby( ICBB)

" I love you ICBB!!" ...and yes you're the best preschool for my youngest son.

My impression of the school is too expensive, intimidating and too classy for my son. We are not rich, and have to work double time to pay our bills,  yet,  we decided to enroll our son in ICBB because of its proximity to the school of my daughter.

But lo and behold, my 2.6 year old son( doesn't speak yet) is just too happy to attend to that "rich school" , shows great improvement in his dancing skills, loves book a lot, very confident  and so attentive when it comes to studying. Yay!! it was so much unbelievable. In just 2 months of attending ICBB, I am about to believe that they  turned my son into a genius toddler (wink) and undoubtedly a leader.

And by golly, with all the cute pictures that they regularly posts in their facebook account, I totally forgot my previous concerns on tuition fees etc.

..and i say, what!!

Just last week, i decided to visit my favorite facial skin care and indulge in some pampering, you know, a little bit of facial, diamond peel,  face Cavi and RF, and some tummy Cavi and RF, err ( in woman's definition, that's "little pampering").

As soon as the first attendant finished the facial and diamond peel, I was ushered to the second floor for   Cavi and RF. And that was where the misadventure happened.

While the second attendant performing the Cavi, and am  beginning to enjoy the effect of such "pampering" the friendly attendant started to make queries about  "legal matters" . Normally, I refused to answer on any  queries, if its not done inside my office or i am not hired properly. the reason is pretty simple-- its always free!!, unlike doctor, we don't need stethoscope or x-ray machine to determine the problem and find solution, we only need our mouth, and that is our big problem.  But then, when you are under Cavi and RF machines and your face is under hostage, do you have a choice?!

The "interrogation" was done for two hours, by three (3) attendants re their legal and family problems(wink). But then, despite being interrogated for long hours, i never felt unhappy or cheated,  not because i was able to help them  because Ive got extra/ free time for Cavi and RF in my tummy. ;-) Yay! happy tummy for me.

Breathtaking Batad!!

Traveling without plan was the main reason why we discovered the breathtaking place of Batad. Our group planned to stay in Sagada for the entire duration of Holy Week, but due to our "negligence" to reserved rooms at least one month before holy week, we were only able to get a two night stay in Shamrock Tavern. Nevertheless, our stay in Sagada was tremendously happy and stomach fulfilling that  we decided to proceed in Batad, instead of spending one night in Banaue, before our shed trip to Manila.

From Sagada, we rode a jeepney to Banaue together with a group of Japanese, a local driver offered to drive our group to Saddle point for the amount of Php 3,000.00. To minimise our expenses, we invited the group of Japanese to join us, enticing them that the rice terraces in Batad is better than Banaue.Luckily, the japanese find the word Batad as " interesting". (We later learned that there are two trips in a day travelling to Saddle point and way cheaper than Php 3k.)

From Banaue, we travelled for at least 45 minutes to one hour of  rough road to Saddle Point. From there, I paid Php 10.00 for a walking stick. Based on my experience in Sagada, walking stick is  a must in walking along "pilapil" or "stairs" of the mountain. We also get tourist guide for the amount of Php 800.00 which include touring the village, going to the Peak and Tappia lake. There are also available porter who are willing to carry backpacks for the amount of Php 100-150.

From Saddle point, there are two roads going down, the long cut, which is 500 meters or the short cut which is 412 steps of very steep stairs. Our group, innocently chose the short cut, and realized that the "stairs", aside from its steepness is "one person lane" only.

Accordingly, from saddle point to Batad Village is only 45 minute walk, but our group walked for about an hour or more. Along the way, there are three (3) stations that are selling souvenirs and beverages. The price of Gatorade is Php 60.00. Although, the road is rough and in some area is dangerously steep, the view is really breathtaking.

We stayed in Mang Ramon Homestay  which cost our group Php 1,500.00 for one Ifugao Hut. I'm not really sure, if I am just hungry or the chicken curry really taste good, but I can tell that it was the best curry that I ever tasted. Unfortunately, most of food in Mang Ramon is processed except chicken, veggies and pizza, which accordingly the dough was made from scrath,

At night time, we were able to watch  the  ifugao dance for the amount of Php 3,000.00 which was divided  among visitors ( who are want/willing to watch )

Early in the morning, we met our guide and started our journey to the "PEAK" . literally, it is the highest point of Rice terraces, we walked along the "pilapil" for at least an hour. But from the peak, we again had the breathtaking view of Rice Terraces.
                                                            the Peak

The "PEAK"
                                                        "the Stairs" of the Peak

Resting Station between the Peak and Tappia Lake

                                                     "Stairs" to Tappia Lake
                                                             Road to Tappia Lake

                                                                      Tappia Lake

The beauty of Tappia Lake is not the Lake itself, or its view, but from all the hardship and " buwis buhay" that we encountered along the way. Yes, despite the sweat, muscle pain and "buwis buhay" path, i will still go back to Batad. :-)

Luz Kinilaw Place @Davao

With all the Durians and chickens scattering around Davao, a place where  Kinilaw is "allegedly served" stands along Magsaysay Street, just a few steps from a line of fruit stalls

But expect to be disappointed ,  as this supposedly Kinilaw Place is in fact a haven for grilled squid, panga ng isda, prawn and others.

Although the place may not seem a good place to enjoy the food, but this is the place where eating is fulfilling.

With the way the food is served, a not so pleasing with the eyes, but definitely a place where eating like a pig is allowed..

But then again, sometimes a place does not matter if the stomach is full.

         Happy eating:-)

Being "OA" mom

Early this day, i received a  call from my kumare, informing me that she brought my daughter and her yaya  to their  house.  I agreed to her mechanically, after i put down the phone, i realized that my entire body got tensed, my heart palpitates strongly and my blood literally boiled. I  just thought something was wrong!

I immediately texted the driver where he was, which immediately informed me that he was just parked at the back of the building of the school.  I called my husband and told him to call the driver immediately and told him to pitch my daughter and the yaya from my kumare's house. That time, I am so nervous  and angry that i transformed into an evil incarnate.  worried mother.

My kumare called again  and explained that my daughter was  playing with her daughter,  though i felt thankful,  my OA reaction was  still rising. I talked to the  yaya and asked her why she did not texted or looked for the driver, and why did she brought " her alaga" to others' house without my knowledge. She meekly told me that she has no load. My ***!, if she has no load, then she should have stayed inside the school or went down the parking area and  looked for the driver thoroughly and not just peek out of the window.

I know my reaction was OA to the maximum level, but i think being a mother makes a mother really OA. As a working mother, i am unfortunate that i cannot be at my children side every moment of their lives, and i guess that my being OA comes from the fact that i am guilty  i was not at their side,  and worried that a yaya will not guard them or take care of them in the same way that a mother should.
